As a student, you may find it helpful to connect with Penn State World Campus alumni* to learn from their experiences in juggling life while earning a degree and establishing professional goals. Penn State alumni are excited to share lessons learned from their individual experiences, how their experiences impacted their career goals, and cheer you on as you earn your degree or certificate.
Alumni volunteers are trained to talk generally about their own Penn State experiences related to your interests. These discussions would be very different from the advice and assistance provided by World Campus staff such as your academic adviser or coach, career counselors, etc. Volunteers may offer guidance in leveraging available Penn State and alumni resources for your non-academic needs or connecting you to the World Campus Chaiken Center for Student Success or alumni relations professionals to ensure that you follow the correct next steps when you need them.
There are multiple reasons why you might choose to connect with an alum. Review the form options to decide if connecting is right for you. When you complete the form, staff will identify an alumni contact according to your communication preference, and you can expect a response from either an alum or staff member within a week. We encourage you to engage with your Penn State World Campus alumni community now or whenever you need it. We are here to support you.
*Alumni Connections are for students only, and students must be 18 years or older to participate.
