Tutor.com’s professional tutors are available 24/7 to provide free, online tutoring for students in certain writing-intensive courses, including some upper-level graduate courses. You can chat with a tutor about your writing, or you can drop off your essay for review.

Graduate Writing Center

Graduate students have access to the Graduate Writing Center (GWC), which provides free one-to-one peer consultations and interactive workshops for Penn State graduate students of all disciplines and all levels of writing ability. The Graduate Writing Center is not able to support undergraduate students.

Penn State librarians have put together excellent citation and writing guides covering MLA, APA, Chicago, and other styles.

The Information Literacy tutorial provided by the Penn State Libraries includes tutorials, videos, and quizzes to help you with choosing a research topic and identifying quality sources. 

The resources collected in the Purdue Online Writing Lab (OWL) can help you with grammar, writing strategies, and MLA, APA, and Chicago styles. 

Penn State’s Engineering Department offers many tips for science and engineering writing and writing formal reports and correspondence. 

Grammarly.com can check your papers, emails, and discussion posts for spelling and grammar errors.
