Club and Organization Resources

Policies and Rules

Starting a club or organization can be a very exciting and rewarding undertaking; however, there are many important things to consider. You'll want to familiarize yourself with the Policies and Rules for Student Organizations before you begin to officially form your club or organization.

Intent to Organize

If you have read all of the rules and guidelines and feel ready to declare your intent to organize, begin the process by completing the form, which will tell us more about your proposed club or organization.

Form Your Club or Organization

The World Campus Student Affairs office is here to help guide you through the process of getting a new club up and running. After completing the Intent to Organize form and reviewing the Policies and Rules, begin working through the Student Organizations Information Packet and follow the steps that it outlines.

Register Your Club Event/Program

Penn State student organization policy requires that all club and organization events (excluding general meetings) be registered in advance with the World Campus Student Affairs office. Completing the registration process helps to ensure your event adheres to University policy and organization guidelines. In addition, if requested, World Campus Student Affairs may be able to provide assistance with promoting your event. It is recommended that programs be registered 6–8 weeks in advance for the best opportunities to market and promote the event. Clubs and organizations can register an event through the Request for Programming and Funding form.

Request Funding

Once your club or organization has been approved, you can request funding to support things like travel, program, equipment, media, and other operational costs. Learn more about how to request funding.
