Heather McGhee, policy advocate and author of "The Sum of Us: What Racism Costs Everyone and How We Can Prosper Together," will discuss how embedded racism in our politics and policymaking affects all Americans. She will also explore the "zero-sum paradigm” — the belief that progress for some must come at the expense of others — and highlight the potential rewards diverse communities can see when they work together for positive change.
This event is sponsored by a variety of Penn State departments and programs. Students can attend in person or via livestream.
