Different Policies for Specific Degrees or Certificates

For the degrees and certificates listed below, some policies differ from those of our other degrees and certificates.

Programs That Differ

  • Geographic Information Systems (Master's Degree and Postbaccalaureate Certificate)
  • Geospatial Intelligence (Graduate Certificate)
  • Homeland Security Programs (Master's Degree, including all associated options and certificates)
  • Information Sciences (Master's Degree)
  • Nuclear Engineering (Master’s Degree)
  • Public Administration (Master's Degree)
  • Supply Chain and Information Systems (Master's Degree and Graduate Certificate)
  • Turfgrass Management (Master’s Degree)

Policies That Differ

If a program is not listed, it follows the same policy as our other degrees and certificates.

Tuition and Fees

Payment for the above degrees and certificates is due at the time of course registration. For specific costs, see our tuition estimator. 

Scheduling a Course

Online registration is not offered for the degrees and certificates listed above. However, you must still obtain either a Penn State Access Account or Friends of Penn State account, depending on your degree status, to access online resources. Please read the Access Accounts page and follow the instructions to register for an account.

Register by Mail or Fax

  1. Fill out the Registration Form. 
  2. Mail or fax the course registration forms to:

  3. Pay for your course with a credit card, check, money order, or authorization invoice. You can do this by mail or phone: 800-252-3592 (toll-free within the United States) or 814-865-5403 (international calls).

When Will I Be Notified of My Registration?

Once all of the materials are processed, we will mail you a welcome letter within 48 hours. If you haven't received the welcome packet within 7 to 10 business days after your registration date, please contact us immediately.

If we have questions about your registration we will contact you within 3 to 5 business days by email or by phone.
