Let Your Instructor(s) Know
If you are planning to graduate, you should communicate your intent to graduate to your instructor. This will alert your instructor of the need to submit your final grade in time to meet the published graduation deadlines.
If you have a proctored final exam, you should plan to have your proctor send the final exam express or priority mail, at your expense, to ensure the instructor has sufficient time to assign a final course grade.
Graduating with Honors

Joining the Penn State Alumni Association
The benefits of being a Penn State student don’t end with graduation! For one year after graduation, you have free membership in the Penn State Alumni Association, you will be part of a powerful network of more than 164,000 members, with access to professional development, volunteer, and friendship-building opportunities.
Members can also take advantage of LionLink, a professional networking program designed to assist Penn State students and alumni in exploring various career fields through information interviews with alumni career coaches.
Becoming a World Campus Alumni Ambassador
As a World Campus Alumni Ambassador, you can use your own experiences to answer questions that prospective students might have. You can probably recall what it was like to choose an online school, take courses, and juggle the personal and professional aspects of your life. Many of our prospective students have the same questions and challenges, and would appreciate the opportunity to speak with someone who has completed his or her degree through the World Campus. Ambassadors are matched with students based on academic interests, and correspondence occurs via phone and email. Occasionally, we ask ambassadors to participate in online information sessions and recruitment events.
If you are interested in becoming a World Campus ambassador and sharing your knowledge about what it’s like to be a World Campus student, please contact Tara Banerjee at ttb3@psu.edu. Help others achieve their education goals — just like you did!
