My favorite thing about being an adviser is, I enjoy working with military and veteran students and helping them achieve their educational goals.
You might not know this about me, but I am a retired Navy Chief of twenty-four years who served on eight different ships and sailed around the world three and a half times.
My favorite book is The Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors: The Extraordinary World War II Story of the U.S. Navy’s Finest Hour by James D. Hornfischer.
My favorite quote is one by John Wayne: “Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway.”
On weekends, you might find me training U.S. Naval Sea Cadets on maritime seamanship.
I never get tired of hearing old sea stories.
