ALEKS: Refresh Your Math Skills at Your Own Pace
Did you score lower than you would have liked on your online math placement test? Would you like to review, practice, or learn new math skills so you can take the placement exam again and possibly place into a higher-level course?
If so, Penn State offers a program called Assessment and LEarning in Knowledge Spaces (ALEKS), which allows you the opportunity to improve your math skills.

If you are thinking about supplementing your degree requirements by taking a course outside of Penn State, we recommend that you:
- Use the Undergraduate Admissions Transfer Course Evaluation Guide to get an idea of how your course will transfer
- Review Penn State’s policy about transferring credit

We encourage you to review the online iStudyforSuccess! modules developed by Penn State to improve or refresh study skills (requires active Penn State Access Account). Topics include study methods, time management, and communication.

From Microsoft Office to Adobe Creative Suite, you can access more than 1,000 free software tutorials from lynda.com, Inc. The tutorials are taught online by industry experts and are always available for you to access using your Penn State user ID and password.

Learn valuable information about taking courses, such as how to purchase course materials and how to obtain a proctor for your exams.
